Former Spartak head coach Massimo Carrera returns to work in Italy.
The 56-year-old will lead Bari in Serie C, the third-strongest division.
The contract with Carrera will be valid for six months with the possibility of renewal in the event of the team's entering Serie B.
The Italian is expected to hold his first training session at Bari on Wednesday. Carrera's headquarters will include Giorgio D'Urbano, who also worked with him at Spartak.
"Bari" after 22 rounds in their group takes 2nd place, gaining 42 points. Leading Ternana has 56 points.
Carrera played for Bari from 1986 to 1991. His last place of work was AEK, from where he was fired in December.
Note that Bari belongs to Aurelio De Laurentiis, who also owns Napoli.
